Easy DIY Minimal Spring Wreath

We recently purchased a new home in the beautiful state of Florida. This is my first house and I just love making it my own. One of the things I decided I would have is a wreath on our front door year-round, but change them seasonally. I just think it gives a warm welcoming vibe just before entering our home which is what I want.

I have two wreaths that I purchased from different companies for fall and winter, but this time I decided to create my own!

It cost me about $40 to make this wreath (and had a lot of extra supplies left over for future projects), and took only about 30 minutes once I had all my supplies. I think this would be a great spring DIY activity to do by yourself or with friends, or even with your kids!

You’ll need the following:

  1. A plain wreath (I chose a eucalyptus wreath - see above)

  2. Some faux flowers (I used about four different kinds of flowers including lavender and baby’s breath)

  3. A glue gun

  4. Scissors

  5. A large surface with perhaps some cardboard underneath so you don’t get it too messy

Now the fun part!

Take your wreath and start cutting bunches of your flowers. Use your imagination and come up with a design you like. I chose to do something simple and minimal and only chose to put flowers on one side of the wreath to make a crescent shape. Then just glue the flowers to the main stem of the wreath. Once you’re satisfied with how it looks, leave it for ten minutes so the glue hardens.

And you have yourself a personalized spring minimal wreath. Enjoy!
